Job Description

As a member of the Kisco Senior Living Home Office HR team, this position provides administrative and project support for all HR disciplines to include HR general, onboarding, training, and reward & recognition. Provides outstanding customer service and support to a variety of associates and partners this position provides great exposure, learning, and growth opportunities for someone interested in learning about or becoming an HR professional.

 

What will I do everyday?

•Provides general HR support for the home office team•Assists with new hire on-boarding for in-person and remote associates

•Supports the annual Kisco benefits open enrollment process

•Maintaining and updating employee records in HR systems and physical files

•Assists with HR audits for community and home office employee file compliance

•Assists with maintaining current HR files/documents on the Kisco Intranet (powered by SharePoint)

•Assists with entering new hire information into the HRIS

•Responsible for reviewing Home Office HR mail and distributing to the appropriate people

•Monthly HR home office & all-communitty meeting support

•Assists in managing candidate pre-employment process for Home office new hires (background checks, drug screens and TB tests)

•Conducts reference checks to comply with Kisco policy

•Assists in recruiting activities as needed•Organizing employee engagement activities and events

•Assisting with audits and filing of mandatory compliance forms

•Preparing HR reports•Assisting in updating HR policies and procedures

•Supporting HO HR with special projects and initiatives

•Ensuring workplace safety guidelines are followed

•Assisting with the coordination of workplace safety initiatives

•Assisting with conflict resolution or escalating employee concerns

•Serving as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries

•Supports onboarding preparation for new hires at the home office and community managemen tdirectors
•Assists with various Kisco reward and recognition programs
•Assists with the annual performance review process
•Manages the training calendar and logistics for Kisco’s Leadership & Performance workshop
•Coordinates and leads the new hire orientation for home office associates

 

What will I need to be successful in the role?

  • High school degree or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a recruiting and/or HR team is required. College degree is preferred.
  • Experience in an administration capacity required, with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable interacting and communicating with all levels of management, associates, candidates, company visitors and telephone callers while responding to their needs in a professional and timely manner.
  • Must have proven organization skills and have a high attention to detail, must be able to accurately document and maintain records and files.
  • Must be able to multitask and manage a large volume of work with continuous interruptions while understanding and establishing priorities.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of extremely sensitive candidate and company information.
  • Must be proficient with basic PC software packages such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, previous experience using an ATS is preferred.
  • The ability to understand and follow published policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Approaches all encounters with residents, associates, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Is able to collaborate with colleagues and thrives in a team environment. Is punctual and dependable.

Will work in the home office in Carlsbad California up to 3 days a week.  Other days will be remote.
