Job Description

The Business Development Sales/Executive Director Recruiter will be responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and building relationships with top Sales and Executive Director talent across hospitality and related fields to ensure a strong bench of candidates for future roles at Kisco Senior Living.  This role focuses 75% on business development, cultivating relationships with potential candidates to build a future talent pipeline, and 25% on direct Sales/Executive Director recruiting, ensuring the timely hiring of qualified candidates. This role will be instrumental in driving our Sales and Executive Director recruitment efforts and ensuring a steady pipeline of candidates to meet our growing needs.

 

For this role you must be located or is willing to relocate to a Kisco cluster market (Carlsbad, Northern California, Colorado Denver area, Raleigh, NC, or Maryland/DC area).  This is a remot position an must be willing to travel up to 50% and will be required to travel to Kisco markets at a minimum of 1 week per month.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively build and nurture a network of top Sales and Executive Director talent, particularly in hospitality and related fields. Utilize research and market intelligence to identify potential talent and inform recruitment strategies.
  • Build relationships with Kisco Sales and Executive Directors to partner with them to use their knowledge of the local markets and candidates.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance employer brand visibility through targeted digital campaigns and recruitment events
  • Develop and maintain a “known bench” of top candidates in key markets to reduce time-to-fill for open sales roles.
  • Leverage research skills to identify potential talent and market trends that could impact recruiting strategies.
  • Conduct regular outreach to Sales and Executive talent, nurturing long-term relationships and keeping candidates engaged, even when no immediate roles are available
  • Use a sales-driven approach to recruiting, bringing a high level of tenacity and persistence in engaging top talent.
  • Create and host quarterly events that highlight Kisco Senior Living, the Sales and Executive Director roles, and new communities to attract potential candidates and increase exposure to the Kisco brand in various markets. Create and host quarterly recruiting events (e.g., webinars, industry meet-ups) to increase brand awareness and attract top-tier candidates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates through personalized communication, outreach, and follow-up.
  • Travel monthly to key Kisco markets to build in-person relationships with candidates, conduct market assessments, and host recruiting events.
  • Represent the Kisco brand as a trusted advisor and ambassador to potential candidates, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Partner with hiring managers and the HR team to understand current and future talent needs.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to automate messaging, organize talent pools, and streamline communication.
  • Manage the recruitment process for open positions, including screening, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of top talent.
  • Use assessments (PI) to assist in identifying top Sales and Executive Director talent.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback, clear communication, and support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Hire top talent for Sales and Executive Director roles to drive success at Kisco Senior Living.
  • Build a proactive approach to recruiting by maintaining a strong bench of candidates.
  • Will follow and achieve targets as listed within the Sales/Executive Director Recruiting Strategy/Business Development document
  • Reduce time-to-fill for Sales and Executive Director roles by having pre-qualified, engaged candidates ready when positions open.
  • Create engaging and dynamic recruiting experience for candidates through events, personalized outreach, and relationship-building efforts.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales/executive recruiting, or talent acquisition, preferably in hospitality or senior living.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proven ability to engage and retain top talent.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to identify and track top performers in target industries.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing an applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ability to travel to Kisco markets on a monthly basis
  • A tenacious and strategic approach to talent acquisition, with the ability to balance long-term relationship building with immediate hiring needs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with multiple priorities.
  • The ability to interact well with co-workers and function in a team environment.
  • Approaches all encounters with customers, associates and vendors in a friendly, serviceoriented manner.
  • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration within cross functional teams
  • Experience in business development and/or recruiting in the senior living, hospitality, or a related industry.
  • Experience in planning and hosting recruiting or networking events to attract talent.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition strategies that focus on building a talent bench.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or real estate.
  • Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with ATS/CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics tools.
