The Medical Records Associate is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and protecting medical records in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. This role ensures that accurate and up-to-date resident health information is properly documented, stored, and accessible to authorized personnel. The ideal candidate will work closely with nurses, caregivers, and administrative staff to support quality resident care through efficient record-keeping.
Availabiltiy: Full-Time
Pay: $24-$27/hr
What will I do every day?
- Maintain and update resident medical records, including admission documents, care plans,
physician orders, and treatment notes. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations related to health records.
- Organize and manage electronic and paper medical records, ensuring proper filing and security.
- Track and manage documentation for assessments, medication records, incident reports, and
discharge summaries. - Assist clinical staff with accessing and retrieving necessary medical records.
- Perform routine audits of resident records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies to obtain
necessary documentation. - Support the care team by ensuring records are readily available for resident care planning and
regulatory reviews. - Monitor compliance with record-keeping policies and recommend improvements as needed.
- Provide administrative support, including scanning, copying, and filing documents as necessary.
