The Bartender provides an exceptional dining and beverage experience for residents by preparing and serving drinks and food with professionalism and warmth. This position is responsible for mixing and garnishing cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, maintaining bar inventory, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and alcohol service regulations. The Bartender reports to the Dining Room Manager and assists with other dining operations as needed.
Pay: $19.50-$20/hr
Availability: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 4pm-7:30pm
Welcome and engage residents in a friendly and professional manner.
Prepare, mix, and serve cocktails and beverages according to recipes and preferences.
Plan drink menus and communicate daily specials to residents.
Maintain an organized and well-stocked bar, including inventory management.
Handle resident transactions accurately and responsibly.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
Keep bar and dining areas clean, organized, and well-presented.
Develop and test new cocktail recipes.
Support daily dining operations as assigned.
Model Kisco’s Principles, Values, and Beliefs (PVBs) in all interactions with residents, families, and team members.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years of bartending experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Customer-focused and service-oriented.
Knowledge of mixology techniques and bar tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain composure under pressure.
Work is primarily performed in the community’s bar and dining areas within a senior living environment.
Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Moderate exposure to typical dining and bar environment noise (music, conversation, kitchen equipment).
