The Sous Chef at Magnolia Glen oversees the preparation and presentation of nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, guests, and associates. This role plays a key part in enhancing the dining experience by fostering a welcoming, restaurant-style atmosphere and maintaining exceptional culinary standards.
Schedule: Full Time
Flexible schedule required. Hours may fluctuate based on business needs and include nights and weekends. Two days off per week. Additional details will be discussed during the interview.
Pay Range: $24-$26/hr

What will I do every day?
- Assist in the production of creatively designed menus
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on new dishes which appeal o the residents
- Assist the Executive Chef in organizing the kitchen and schedule
- Maintain kitchen and food preparation in a clean and sanitary manner
- Train and develop new kitchen associates
What Will I Need to Be Successful in This Role?
- Minimum of 5 years of Sous Chef experience.
- Previous senior living experience is a plus.
- SERVSafe Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of employment.
- Culinary degree or American Culinary Federation (ACF) certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
