The Medication Technician @ First Colonial Inn administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.
**$2000 Sign on Bonus Paid out - 1/2 at 90 days and 1/2 at 6 months **
Schedules: Part Time 2p-10p
Medication Aide / Resident Assistant (combo)
- Base Rate: $18.45 - $19.25/hr
- Evening Shift Differential: +$1.50/hr
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as assigned in accordance with physician orders and company policies
- Observe residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition and report concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that promotes resident dignity and independence
- Support resident wellness and safety initiatives
- Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to ensure exceptional resident care
Requirements
- Current Medication Technician, Medication Aide, or equivalent state-approved certification (required)
- must also have current CNA, NA, PCA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to safely administer medications according to physician orders and community policies
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
