Are you a friendly, service-oriented professional who enjoys creating meaningful connections? As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact in our dining venues, setting the tone for an exceptional experience for residents and guests. In this role, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, support seamless dining service, and help ensure every resident feels valued, comfortable, and cared for.
Location: The Preston of Rockville
Pay: $19-$21/hr DOE
Schedule: 11:30am-8pm Shift (one weekend day required)
What You’ll Do
- Greet and warmly welcome residents and guests, escorting them to their tables
- Manage seating and reservations to support smooth and efficient dining operations
- Provide knowledge of daily menus and assist with questions or recommendations
- Support dining service as needed to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper table settings in dining areas
- Serve as a liaison between residents, guests, and kitchen staff to support effective communication
- Monitor resident well-being and report any concerns to appropriate team members
- Learn resident preferences to deliver personalized, thoughtful service
- Assist with maintaining accurate operational records as needed
- Collaborate with team members to support a positive and efficient dining environment
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality, dining, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and service-focused attitude
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler’s Certification required (per state guidelines)
