Job Description

Are you a friendly, service-oriented professional who enjoys creating meaningful connections? As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact in our dining venues, setting the tone for an exceptional experience for residents and guests. In this role, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, support seamless dining service, and help ensure every resident feels valued, comfortable, and cared for.

 

Location: The Preston of Rockville

Pay: $19-$21/hr DOE

Schedule: 11:30am-8pm Shift (one weekend day required)

 

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and warmly welcome residents and guests, escorting them to their tables
  • Manage seating and reservations to support smooth and efficient dining operations
  • Provide knowledge of daily menus and assist with questions or recommendations
  • Support dining service as needed to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper table settings in dining areas
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, guests, and kitchen staff to support effective communication
  • Monitor resident well-being and report any concerns to appropriate team members
  • Learn resident preferences to deliver personalized, thoughtful service
  • Assist with maintaining accurate operational records as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to support a positive and efficient dining environment

 

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in hospitality, dining, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, professional, and service-focused attitude
  • Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler’s Certification required (per state guidelines)
